Description

A delightful salad full of ripe strawberries, whipped cream, and a crunchy graham cracker layer, perfect for any summer gathering.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries: In a large bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with the granulated sugar and lemon juice. Toss gently to coat, and allow them to sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Mix the creamy base: In a separate bowl, beat together the whipped cream and mini marshmallows until well combined and fluffy.
  3. Combine the mixtures: Fold the strawberry mixture into the whipped cream mixture gently.
  4. Layer the ingredients: In a serving bowl, begin to layer by adding a generous amount of the graham cracker crumbs followed by a layer of the strawberry mixture.
  5. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used up, finishing with a final layer of whipped cream on top.
  6. Chill and serve: Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the fridge for up to two days. Avoid mixing too much to maintain the airy texture.
