- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 1/8 inch and cut it into rectangles, approximately 3×4 inches.
- Mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
- Assemble the pastries by placing a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry rectangle.
- Top each with sliced strawberries.
- Form the pastry by folding the edges over the filling and sealing them well.
- Prepare the egg wash by whisking together the egg and milk, then brush it over the pastries.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving.
