Description

Delightful roll-ups filled with sweet strawberries and creamy cream cheese, all encased in crispy French toast.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Butter (for frying)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Remove the crusts from your bread slices. Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice.
  2. Spread softened cream cheese on each slice, then layer the sliced strawberries on top.
  3. Roll the bread tightly, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
  4. Whisk together the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a bowl until combined.
  5. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Dip each roll in the egg mixture and then place it in the hot skillet.
  7. Cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Dust cooked roll-ups with powdered sugar before serving.
