Description

A delightful dessert that combines a salty pretzel crust, creamy cream cheese filling, and vibrant strawberry Jell-O for a refreshing and nostalgic treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Cool Whip or whipped cream
  • 2 cups strawberry Jell-O
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine crushed pretzels, 1/2 cup sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. Beat together cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth.
  5. Fold in Cool Whip until fully integrated.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  7. Dissolve strawberry Jell-O in boiling water, then mix in sliced strawberries.
  8. Refrigerate until it thickens slightly, then pour over the cream cheese layer.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator until set completely, usually about 4 hours.

Notes

Can be made a day in advance for best flavor. Ensure the crust cools before adding the cream cheese layer.
