- 1/2 cup vinegar

- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and ketchup.
- Stir gently until the sugar fully dissolves.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Add the cornstarch slurry to the saucepan, stirring constantly.
- Continue to cook for about 3–5 minutes, watching as the sauce thickens.
- Finally, stir in garlic powder and onion powder.
- Allow it to cool slightly before using.
